Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Spring

Happy Thursday, I apologize for being behind this week. We have just had so many family issues, I haven't had time to get things done, including the card that I had posted today.  My card for today's challenge is an oldie but a goodie. I used this card approx 1 year ago, but I thought it would be perfect for this weeks "Spring" challenge.  Here in New Hampshire, we have had a horrible winter. It has been chronically cold with temps average 20 degrees and below, and we still have snow on the ground...UGH....So, I am thrilled that spring is coming.......and I can't wait to see all you spring
projects!
The entries for last weeks Pastel challenge were amazing, and again, it was very hard to pick the TOP 3, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do. Last weeks top 3 are:

A Little Bit of Sparkle

Gone vintage, I think?

Happy Wednesday and Hump Day...I hope you are enjoying your week thus far.  It has been a tough week for our family, as my MIL has been sick and has been hospitalized, but thankfully she is stable, and hopefully on the mend towards good health. Needless to say, I have fallen behind in my crafting, but I did manage to make a card for this weeks Stampotique Designers challenge.  This weeks challenge hostess is France and her challenge is vintage, and here is what she had to say:

 "‘Hello lovely Stampotiquers,
Lots of us get so excited when we get our hands on an old ledger, old books, or old family photos even from people we don’t know. But those are often hard to come by, or very expensive.
Because of that, lots of us became very agile in making new things look old. Using inks, paper distressing tools and yummy techniques.
How about we combine all that love for all things vintage and all those yummy techniques with our favorite stamps, to create a vintage looking Stampotique piece?
Can’t wait to see where that leads you! Ready? Create!’"

Well, I am not a vintage type crafter, but I was thrilled to give this challenge a try.  I am pretty sure my project barely qualifies as "vintage", but I did try to use muted colors, and I distressed everything to give it an old feel.  I used Dog Family, and Happy Birthday to You stamps on my project.   I hope you get to join us for this weeks challenge, and come see what gorgeous creations the DT has come up for this weeks challenge.....Have a great day and enjoy every minute!

I thought of you today!

Hi all, I can't believe that it has been so long since I have posted. My Family and I had gone away for a hockey Tournament in Lake Placid NY, and when we got back, My hubby and I were both sick, and I finally started feeling better and rejoined the world again, so I didn't do any crafting for a coupe of weeks.  To the right is a pic of my Son Ryan, after he scored his first goal of the weekend.
Out team lost all four games, but we had an amazing time,
I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
The card I would like to share with you is a card I made today.  I have always loved this bunny from the moment I saw him.  I used the Rainy Day Stamp, and the I thought of you today sentiment, It is a very simple card, but this bunny makes it cute!!!!
Well, that is all I have for you today. Be sure to hope on over to Stampotique and join our chllenge this week.
Happy Crafting.  Kristen

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations: Make it Pastels!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you enjoyed the your weekend!  We have a super fun challenge for you this week.  This weeks challenge is to use pastels....ahhhh pastels is like a dirty word for me. I am not a pastel kind of girl. I like my colors bright and bold.  I knew what Image I was going to use, but I had to do some serious searching for "pastel" paper, and even as I look at my card, I am NOT seeing a whole lot of  pastels, but I have to tell you, I did my very best at this challenge.  The adorable bunny image is from Rick St. Dennis, and the image name is Large Easter Bunny Digi, and rick has all sorts of super cute Easter images, along with 1000s of other great images.
Last week we had so many fantastic entries in our Going Green Challenge!

Just Sitting Here Thinking of You!

Happy Hump Day!!!!  I hope you are enjoying your week thus far.  My week has been uneventful (knock on wood).  I have decided to take on a big job and redo my craft room, and I started so by going through all my "stuff"...OMG, one person should not have so much "stuff".  I don't have a very big room, so I am trying to limit how I have, and boy have I collected a LOT of stuff over the years.  I started with my rubber stamps.  In order to to free up space, I decided
I would unmount all my woods stamps and create a file for them.  This job has been bigger than I thought, but I am happy with how it is going and as soon as I am done I will take pics and post them.
Today I am sharing my newest card with you.  While going through my stamps, I pulled out a few I haven't used in a while.  I created todays card using Stampotique Originals Thinking of You image and Just Sitting here thinking of you sentiment.  I originally saw this image and thought boy, but now that I am looking at the image, I could easily make this a girl card, which I will definitely do next time. Don't forget to check out this weeks challenge over at Stampotique Originals blog. Hope to see you there :)
