Happy Valentines Day gone goth!

Thursday.....is it Thursday? I swear since the kids and I have been on break, I have no sense of what day or time it is. So, what have I been doing with all my time? Well, we have been doing a lot of relaxing, so much needed cleaning, I have been actually been pretty craft as well. I have stamped the last 3 days in a row. I even cleaned my craft room, all I have left is some paper organization.....which I find very scary. I could get lost in DP for years. I feel like I should just get rid of 50% off it. My friends Mary and Peggy had a great idea, they cut up their 12x12 paper into 6x6 squares. I bet I would use more if I did that as well. I could organize it so much easier. I actually may do that, a little at a time. Hmmmm.....Micheal's has all their organization things on sale this week. I may take a trip...(like I need a reason). I also have a ton of 6x6 paper pads that I have 1/2 the paper left that I either didn't like, or couldn't get to work. I have always said I should host a swap for all the paper I have left over in those packs. Maybe some day.
I told you I think I have a inner goth girl, and today's card is another example. I actually made this card a few months back and I decided to embellish and finish it today. I had this fabulous scrap paper left over and wanted to use it. As the new year rolls around, I am going to try to use my scraps and paper, and NOT buy anymore DP. DO you think there is a 12 step program for DP addiction .....hehehe! I used this fabulous Kenny K image and went girlie goth !
Well, I am off to continue crafting. I hope you have a fabulous day, and get a chance to get inky. Thanks for stopping by today!

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge: Ring in the New year!

Happy Tuesday! Did you have a wonderful holiday? My family and I had a great Christmas. It was really nice to spend some much needed quality time with my family and friends.

So, it has been a little over a week since I have been out of school, and I am happy to announce, I am completely relaxed. I am really enjoying this muched needed break. Yesterday I sat and actually stamped for a few hours and today I did the same. It has been so ong since I have actually stamped without a purpose. Just for me and fun :)

This week we have another fantastic challenge for you....We are ringing in the New Year! I have decided not to go with your "typical" New years card. When I was choosing a image for this weeks challenge, I came across this fabulous image, and digi paper from Tiddly Inks. I just can't resist these goth girls. I swear I am a goth girl deep down, and I just loved the sentiment. Every year I make the same New Years resolution.....Lose weight, and every year I blow the resolution, so this year, I am resolution free, and yes, I am always on a diet, so maybe one day I will lose that weight, or not! Sometimes we just have to except ourselves for what we are, and just do the best we can....right???

So last week the DT and I took a holiday break, and I ran a recipe contest. All you had to do was tell me your favorite thing to bake on the holidays, and it was so nice to hear all your yummy recipes. I also said I would be sending one person a surprise gift, so using random.org the winner of the recipe givaway is :

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations: Merry Christmas!

Happy Tuesday! and happy it is...I finished my first first semester of nursing school, and finished it with pretty good grades :) I finished last Thursday, and I have been enjoying every minute of my freedom! I would like to tell you that I have been relaxing, but it has been far from it. I have been catching up on my cleaning, and I have been wrapping, and finishing up on my holiday shopping. I am hoping to be done shopping tomorrow and almost done wrapping by Thursday and the I shall get my fingers inky again!
So this week on Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are having a holiday break.....with Christmas on Saturday we are catching up on last minute errands and enjoying our families, and we are hoping you all can do the same. So instead of crafting this week, I have been baking. I don't know about you, but we have so many teacher gifts to buy, and when I sat down to plan, I decided instead of spending a ton of money, I would bake gifts this year, and after seeing my good friend Kim Howard's cake balls, I decided to go with them. They are super fun to make, they look fabulous, and they are yummy too! If you are not familar with cake balls, you can check them out here at bakerella.

So, in the spirit of giving, I am offering up some goodies this week. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post with your favorite thing to bake or cook on the holidays. The goodies will be a surprise package, but well worth it. I will announce the winner on next Tuesdays post!
